TEDxUbud Returns for its Fourth Year!
TEDxUbud returns to Bali on Saturday, September 6th, 2014. The fourth edition will feature another amazing lineup of Indonesian and international entrepreneurs, designers, storytellers, and performers sharing their ideas with a curated audience of 300 at Fivelements.
TED is a non-profit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
At TEDx events, audience members are just as important as who is on the stage. TEDxUbud hopes that from this day new relationships and initiatives will be born, contributing to the already incredible world of Indonesian innovations. Applications to attend are now open at www.tedxubud.com/attend.
This year, TEDxUbud welcomes Jenggala Ceramics and Panasonic Gobel Indonesia as Presenting Sponsors. With the venue and production support from Fivelements and audiovisual expertise from AVB Media, the event promises to be its best edition yet. TEDxUbud licensee, Daniela Burr, says the partnership growth is testament to the rise in both the currency of the ideas market and the global brand of TED within Indonesia. “Without the financial and in-kind support of amazing partners, TEDxUbud would not exist. The brands associating with TEDxUbud are relevant to TED’s core focus of Ideas Worth Spreading and are the leaders in their respective fields,” she said.
