Venue

Our new venue

For TEDxUbud 2017, we explored new frontiers. This was our first night time event in the grounds of the incredible House of Masks and Puppets in Ubud—a unique museum with a mission to preserve some of Indonesia’s most colorful heritage items. A perfect venue to bring TEDxUbud to life.

Tucked away at the back of Mas village, six kilometers from Ubud Palace and set within a beautiful manicured tropical garden, a collection of lovingly restored, charming historic Joglo houses from Java display the treasures. Every piece displayed is a masterpiece of craftsmanship to rival any international museum collection. Within the grounds, the outdoor amphitheater—which is where TEDxUbud 2017 was held—commands a stunning view of the neighboring rice fields.

TEDxUbud has a strong and fast-growing following in Indonesia. A group of 450 change-makers, innovators, thinkers, creatives, cultural leaders & social pioneers witness a back-to-back full evening schedule of talks, performances, and several interactive surprises. And, although taking place in Bali, our talks will be translated into multiple languages by the TED Translators Program online.
